He is also an accomplished and very talented painter and sculptor. At the same time, he devoted himself to painting and especially to sculpture while he was only a student, a field in which he showed his talent and professionalism, equal to his medical career. In 1905, he met the painter Odilon Redon with whom he became friends. From the 1880s onwards, he exhibited classical subjects at the Salon des Artistes Français, such as busts, often of his fellow doctors, then numerous statuettes of the human body, mostly feminine, in a style close to Degas' impressionism. He became a member of the Salon d'Automne in 1925. He exhibited regularly at the Salon des Tuileries. He was still present at the 1937 International Exhibition with a bronze "Head of a Woman".
