Walnut sculpture representing The Lion of Lucerne after the monument commemorating the valiant Swiss mercenaries who defended the Tuileries and King Louis XVI on August 10, 1792. The initial project was designed by the great Swedish artist THORVALDSEN and the execution was entrusted in 1820 to AHORN. The panel presented has a beautiful quality of sculpture and the walnut has acquired a beautiful polish. The dimensions of this panel make it a beautiful decorative element.
