The box is round silver entirely guilloché with imperial motifs. On the body and on the lid we find crowns of oak leaves and friezes of oak leaves and acorns.
The bottom of the box is guilloché with a concentric rice grain motif.
The lid is enameled in a beautiful translucent light blue, in the center on the leaf crown motif and on the periphery on a wavelet motif.
The interior of the box is in plain vermeil.
The box is hallmarked:
. Minerva 1st title before 1973 for 950/°° silver
. Poorly struck goldsmith's hallmark B? (Maybe F or E) with a fleur-de-lys. I have not identified the goldsmith but the fleur-de-lys is the mark of Gaston Bardiès, but also of Boussard & Mass, perhaps a successor's mark of one of these houses?
Very beautiful box, large with a superb blue enamel on the lid.
8 cm in diameter
3.1 cm thick

Good condition except for an unfortunate chip in the enamel around the lid.
