19th century in the taste of the 17th century France or Europe Large panel in very fine spinach green silk damask possible reissue (?) from the 19th century in the taste of the Grand Siècle. Green marbled satin background with very large exotic decoration with cabbage leaves, loaded with acanthus and large stylized pomegranates with pineapple florets! Panels made up of two sewn strips (in 75 cm) whose selvedges are present. The silk is very fine and shiny. Two pieces sewn in patchwork at the bottom and a repair of the silk to note (see last photos). Non-fused and stable silk, perfect for a tablecloth or curtains. The silk is too fine to cover period seats. Good general condition. Dimensions: 228 cm high by 150 cm wide
