Late 18th or early 19th century Persia or India A precious ceremonial bodice in brocaded silk lampas, Mughal India or Persia, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. Women's jacket with a low cut and crossed front with long sleeves to roll up. Lampas in brocaded edging with floral and cream stripes surrounded by a rich braid of gold passementerie. Complete with its six bell buttons with loops. Cream cotton lining (soiling). Small stains and gaps mainly at the fold of the shoulders and in the back. Rare piece.
