It was in Alexandre Cabanel's studio in Paris that he continued his training as a painter with his friend Régnault, where he also met Cormon. He devoted himself to landscape, seascape and portrait painting, and he also liked the scenes of everyday life. Original oil on canvas, signed lower left and dated on the hull of the boat 1864.
