"Large Pair Of Jacob Petit Vases From The Mid-19th Century"
Large pair of vases signed Jacob Petit from the mid-19th century of French origin. This workmanship by Jacob Petit is certainly due to the collaboration with Sèvres since in 1822 his passion for porcelain led him to enter the Sèvres factory. The pair of vases in fact have a light blue background "typical of the Sèvres factory" with a large central medallion where cupids are depicted inside and large bunches of colored flowers on the back. The pair of vases are enriched by beautiful gilded bronze decorations all worked on the upper part with motifs of grape shoots and bunches of grapes, while the base is worked with scrolls of shells and masks. The vases are regularly signed on the bottom with the artist's initials in cobalt blue J. P. as he used to do in his creations. N.B. One vase has a small round of bronze workmanship missing on the base of the foot "see photo 4". This small lack does not affect the value of the vases and does not decrease their value as it is a very minimal lack and the important thing is that the vases are not broken, chipped or have any streaks, in our case the vases are in EXCELLENT CONDITION THEY HAVE NO BREAKS, CHIPS OR STRINGS AND EVEN THE DECORATIONS AND PAINTINGS ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION OF CONSERVATION.
