The vases have a deep blue background and the countless cartouches framed in gold represent bouquets of flowers. The technique of background painting and partial ornamentation by glued images imitates porcelain, which was very expensive and valuable at the time. Due to their fragility, these objects are very rare and their condition is often rather poor, because cold painting on glass is very sensitive to climatic influences.
