It seems to be a family reunion on a sunny day in front of a beautiful bourgeois residence. The characters are seated at a table for lunch or tea time under a large red and yellow parasol while the children play together in the grass, a dog in the foreground looks at us.
The characters are dressed in the fashion of the Belle Époque: the women wear large hats and the man with his back in the center of the painting wears a frock coat typical of the 1900s.

It is a very lively and very worked scene, the painter positions himself like a photographer to capture this suspended moment.
