Adrien Baneux, known as Adrien Barrère, is a poster artist (for theater and cinema) and a French caricaturist. Born on November 23, 1874, he began studying law before devoting himself to drawing and especially to caricature. He became famous in 1904 thanks to two plates, out of a series of six, representing the professors of the faculty of medicine and law in Paris. He became the poster artist for Pathé cinemas between 1908 and 1914.
