The famous Royal Dux pink triangle on the base, as well as the "Made in Czech Republic" marking, confirm the authenticity of the piece.
Royal Dux, located in Duchcov (now in the Czech Republic), was founded in 1853 by Eduard Eichler. In 1860, the company began producing fine porcelain wares and achieved significant success, earning a Silver Medal at the Paris Exhibition. In 1896, Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria granted it the prestigious status of "Supplier to the Imperial and Royal Court."
In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Royal Dux gained international renown for its innovative designs and high-quality craftsmanship. The company was awarded the Grand Prix at the World Exhibition in St. Louis in 1904. It became especially famous for its statuettes depicting animals, children, and historical figures.
After the fall of the communist regime in 1989, Royal Dux was privatized and returned to private ownership. Today, Royal Dux porcelain remains highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts worldwide for its beauty, craftsmanship, and historical significance.
