Daniel Serra-badué - Self Portrait

Serra-Badué favours the use of lithography in his work as a homage to his homeland, as Santiago de Cuba was the first place in the Western Hemisphere to use this printmaking technique. He is quoted as saying 'Through lithography I establish a second visual contact with what I leave behind'. This limited edition lithographic print is titled 'Autoretrato', or 'Self Portrait'. He is described as 'an artist of uncompromising vision who dwells upon memory as if it were tangible', which is evident throughout his highly imaginative works.
