Large watercolor depicting three sailors standing at attention in uniform on the deck of a French Navy ship. Stamped lower right. Countersigned, titled "on deck - in the Mediterranean" and dated on the back 1954 with the acronym "POM" for Official Painter of the Navy. Very beautiful colors in shades of blue, blue-gray, parma, green and red... Bordered by a blue-gray cardboard border. Dimensions: 37 cm x 54 cm sheet Official painter of the navy, our artist has traveled extensively around the world, mainly on French Navy ships. Numerous exhibitions have marked his brilliant career as an artist. He is listed in the Bénézit and appears in many public collections. Good condition. Very slight signs of age (see photo).
