"Steril Catgut Asid in DRP Flaschen" [Germany], circa 1900-1910, blown and yellow colored glass, thread made from animal intestines.
Catgut is used in surgery to make absorbable sutures and ligatures. Beautiful bottle for storing catgut, can be dismantled into three parts, with a spiral-shaped glass inside. Engraved inscription with the mention of DRP for "Deutsches Reichtspatent".
