Magnificent porcelain ewer hand painted in a bright celestial blue with a large gold paste decoration and hand painted medallion. In the center, an antique decoration with an allegory of sculpture representing a muse sculpting a man's bust with the help of a cherub. The whole is surrounded by an impressive Empire decoration with an imperial eagle in gold paste in relief. The blue handle alternates with gold. The decoration is signed F Amblot and the porcelain bears the two blue marks of the Locré factory. Empire period, early 19th century.
