French Brutalist Iron "Chain" Coffee Table Smoked Glass Top, France 1960s

Brutalist coffee table with a heavy iron frame made of large interlocking chain links.
The horizontal and upright chain links (12x8cm) form the frame, the legs are formed from the front view and the side view of a chain link. The surface of the chain links is slightly rough and not waxed.
This unique imposing piece has a thick grey tinted glass top in excellent condition. It dates from the 1960s and was made in France. The table displays a distinctive industrial aesthetic with its robust and imposing metal chain design.
The table has a solid appearance, which is interrupted by the idea of the airy chain links, interesting and definitely an eye-catcher.
