The Thistle decor was created at the end of the 19th century. Light and delicate inlay, considered a classic of the manufacture, it returned around 1960 after a period of inactivity. Palmettes and flowers, in reference to the rocaille style, adorn this frieze inlaid with double gilding. After engraving the pattern, 2 layers of gold applied manually are necessary to create this decor. The agate stone finish reveals this artistic craftsmanship and brings all the magnificence to the decor.
