Pair Of Cm Numbered Pillowcases On Cotton Piqué With Croquet Braid - Antique Linen

Beautiful pillowcases dating from the end of the 19th century or even the very beginning of 1900, embroidered and hand-sewn. They bear the number CM executed in plumetis stitch, the relief of which is quite marked. Beautiful quality of thick textile, presenting an excellent hold. A croquet braid adorns the edges of each piece which closes on the reverse side using small mother-of-pearl buttons. Old linen of a slightly off-white, in very good condition, washed and ironed. Note very small, fairly light rust peaks on the reverse side at these buttonholes (see photos).
