Louis XV alcove cartel in violin shape, in brown tortoiseshell veneer. Rich ornamentation of original mercury-gilded chased bronze. Floral motifs, acanthus leaves, foliage, scrolls and cartouche. The top of the cartel is topped with a fire pot on a tripod foot. The white dial formed of 13 enameled plates is in perfect condition. When the door opens, a pretty checkerboard-shaped theater in brass and tortoiseshell on the back door, pretty diamond in tortoiseshell marquetry
