Leon Giuseppe Buono studied at the Academy of Naples.
At a very young age, he exhibited in group exhibitions with works that immediately met with critical and enthusiastic success, and managed to obtain numerous awards.
He traveled extensively throughout Italy and abroad, exhibiting his works in many important cities and in various capitals of Europe, America, but also Australia and Japan.
Many of his paintings are now in prestigious art galleries and public or private institutions in the various cities he visited, but especially in Naples.
After the Great War, he retired to Pozzuoli, where he continued his work until his last days.
His paintings vibrate in a harmonious fusion of light and shadow, highlighted by warm and cold colors.
