Interesting portrait, very explicit about the profession of its subject. Her shawl is held by a sewing pin and her basket shows objects to "patch up" Provençal baths which would suit her well, because this woman could well be Provençal. The shawl, the cross on a ribbon and the piped charlotte. The canvas is blank, studded on a rudimentary but keyed frame. The canvas is quite thick, close to an 18th century frame. Easy shipping
