One is clearly finished and signed, the second is probably not but deserves our full attention. The main work is a view of a mountain village, probably Spanish. The white houses are arranged in tiers all along the mountainside, becoming fewer and fewer in number. The series of dwellings ends with a house with a red roof. Behind the heart of the village in the foreground, we see fields. The whole is painted in yellow and ochre tones, lit by the white houses.
The work is signed Garcia Villa on the right. It is offered in its original frame, in molded wood.
The back of the painting reveals another view of dwellings, much more urban, in different shades (predominantly blue), in a more accentuated cubist style than the front. The center of the composition concentrates the light, we see the bell tower of a church.
A double work of quality on both sides, which is not common.
