A true museum piece, this kitchen unit by Charlotte Perriand was designed to equip apartments in the Les Arcs 1800 ski resort, a project to which she dedicated nearly 20 years of her life.
This prefabricated kitchen was created for on-site installation and is equipped with lighting, four stovetop burners, space for a dishwasher, and a compact refrigerator. It is crafted from a fiberglass-reinforced polyester shell and stainless steel.
The rarity of this model lies in its two-part design, allowing easier access to the upper floors of the Les Arcs buildings.
Exhibited at the Centre Pompidou in Paris, it was also showcased at the 2019 "Charlotte Perriand: Inventing a New World" exhibition at the Louis Vuitton Foundation.
