Small Beech Drum Table, Louis XVI Style – 1920

This small barrel table in light walnut-colored beech opens at the waist with a drawer with a recessed brass-chiseled lentil button. Below, this table also opens with a caned door, with a molded frame, with an identical lentil button. The interior offers a space entirely covered in marble. The fluted uprights decorated with rosette motifs stand out on a turned spindle base with a constriction secured by a spacer shelf. The latter, also featuring caning in excellent condition, ends with small spinning top feet. The top consists of a recessed turquoise blue marble surrounded by a molded baguette.
