He was born in 1949 in Sant'Erasmo, a small island in the Venetian lagoon, three minutes from Murano. In the 50s and 60s he worked alongside masters such as Alfredo Barbini, Angelo Seguso, Ermanno Nason, Pino Signoretto and many others. Angelo Seguso decided to hire him as an assistant. When Pino Signoretto opened his own glass workshop in 1978, Arnaldo joined his friend in his new business. In 1985 he and some friends opened a glassworks-workshop called Andromeda. Since 1991 he has worked for a friend, Oscar Zanetti, and for the Zanetti Arte Vetro Corporation. Zanella is recognized for his innovation and ability to fuse traditional techniques with contemporary designs. His works are distinguished by their complexity and finesse, often marked by vibrant colors and elegant forms. He has established himself as one of Murano's most talented artists, attracting the attention of collectors and art lovers around the world. His work is exhibited in numerous galleries and museums, and he continues to produce unique pieces that reflect both Murano's heritage and a modern vision of glass art.
