Magnificent painting very bright and certainly painted during his stay in Italy in 1921 where he received the Prix de Rome.

He was a student of Fernand Cormon.

Silver medal and Prix de Rome in 1921, gold medal in 1922 and out of competition.
He was a knight of the Legion of Honor in 1935.
