Maritime decor with shells and seaweed for this model designed by Charles Grosjean in the vein of the aesthetic movement for Tiffany in 1884.One of the models designed by Charles Grosjean, author of several of Tiffany's emblematic service models at the end of the 19th century.
Hallmarked on the stem on the reverse "Tiffany & Co", "Sterling", "Pat. 1884" (for "model 1884") followed by the letter "M" (for the period during which the silverware department was placed under the direction of Edward C. Moore, until 1891).
Series produced before 1891 of a model which has been discontinued since 1955.
