Elegant and of great historical importance, this museum-quality sideboard in solid walnut features extraordinarily detailed finishes with gilded carvings in pure gold leaf, characteristic of the late Renaissance. The gilded carvings include anthropomorphic figures, classical friezes and vegetal spirals, which further enrich the piece of furniture, giving it an aura of sophistication. A particular touch of class is also given by the band of the undertop, painted on the bottom with a blue that emulates lapis lazuli. The tie rods, in gilded bronze, are sculpted in the shape of protruding busts, representing both male and female figures. The original iron keys instead feature a honeycomb head. This sideboard boasts an enchanting patina and is an authentic example of palace furniture, its dimensions and decorations are capable of enhancing any environment with style and refinement. Coming from the Florentine manufacture of the first half of the 16th century, the sideboard was part of the prestigious De Carlo collection.
