SABRE OF THE GENDARMES OF THE KING'S MILITARY HOUSE, model 1814, Restoration. 30027 Gilded and chiseled bronze guard. Three-branched mount forming a shell cast in relief with a coat of arms with three fleurs-de-lys surmounted by the royal crown and framed by an oak branch and a laurel branch, all surmounting the sparkling spindle of Jupiter. Cap with long tail cast in relief with foliage scrolls and corollas. Wooden handle covered with copper filigree calfskin. Straight blade with fullers, length 93.1 cm, engraved and gilded on its first third with military trophies, floral decorations and laurel wreaths. At its base, a cartouche is signed "S & K" furbishman. Scarlet cloth tie. Straight steel scabbard, without bail bracelets, steel pitons and bail rings, gilded brass chape engraved with foliage. France. Restoration. Perfect condition.
