19th century single-sided bronze plaque. Brown patina. Bas-relief commemorating the return of the ashes of Emperor Napoleon I to Paris in 1840. On the left, under a weeping willow, the tomb on the rock of Saint Helena, in the center the ship La Belle Poule, on the right the Invalides, at the top the imperial eagle and the initial N on a radiant background. On the lower edge the wish of the Emperor "I wish that my ashes be deposited on the banks of the Seine". Good condition. 17 x 10 cm.
