Object description :

"18th Century Regency Caned Office Chair"
Beechwood armchair, typical of the Regency period (circa 1715–1730). The slightly curved backrest and the seat are supported by cabriole legs adorned with carved motifs of shells and foliage.

The armrests feature leather-upholstered arm pads, preserved in their original state with a beautiful patina. The seat is complemented by a removable cushion (galette) restored to match the original design.

This armchair reflects the stylistic features of the Regency period, balancing simplicity and ornamentation. Such chairs were often used in an office or study, combining functionality with elegance.
