REPRODUCTION OF A SHAKO OF THE CORPS OF SAILORS OF THE IMPERIAL GUARD "MARINS DE LA GARDE", model 1809, First Empire, 21st century. 26673 Body in black felt, H 19.5 cm, with in the upper part aurora wool braid woven with sticks 3.7 cm high, and in the lower part a bourdalou made up of aurora wool braid woven with sticks 2.5 cm high. Black patent leather cap, diameter 24 cm, pierced at the front with a hole for attaching the plume (not in accordance with the original examples). Front plate in brass stamped with an imperial eagle placed on a naval anchor. Side braid on the left part made up of an aurora cord sewn at the top and held at the bottom by a brass button of the model of the grenadiers of the imperial guard; the braid holds a cockade in embossed and tricolor lacquered leather. Braided racket cord in aurore wool. Black patent leather visor. Inner headdress composed of a headband in black waxed soft leather topped with a gray canvas headdress.
