Louis XVI Period Blond Mahogany Cylinder Desk

Beautiful cylinder desk in blond Mahogany.
The cylinder reveals a writing surface covered in old Havana-colored leather surrounded by a gold frieze with small iron, just like the 2 side pulls also covered in the model.
Under the desk, 2 molded boxes frame a large central drawer: 2 superimposed drawers on the left and 2 false drawers on the right hiding a deeper compartment equipped with a locker and a chest.
Inside the cylinder, a large shelf that runs the entire width a line of 3 drawers.
Under this line of drawers, a similar set of simulated drawers conceals the cylinder mechanism.
This set closes with a molded cover, curved in shape and made from a single sheet of Mahogany.
Above the desk, 3 other drawers separated by grooves are topped with white Carrara marble (old repairs) surrounded by a gallery worked in gilded bronze, rounded in the corners. (some small losses on the perimeter of the gallery).
