CARRIAT-ROLANT (Gabriel). Moroccan Ambiance. Paris, Éditions d'Art Albert Monnet 1958, in sheets under cover, slightly faded slipcase, illustrated cover, 12 gouaches by G. Carriat-Rolant reproduced by hand accompanied by a text by Bernard Guillerez; limited edition of 750 copies. The artist used the silk screen technique, formerly used by the Chinese, which could allow an exact reproduction of gouache paintings. It was necessary to apply for each plate, as many colors as the original contained. Thus all the reproductions in this volume required more than a hundred passes under the silk screen, each gouache containing between 9 and 12 colors.
