"Large Louis XV Style Pediment Mirror, Napoleon III Period, Wooden Mirror And Gilded Stucco "
Very beautiful mirror in stucco and gilded wood to hang above a fireplace or a piece of furniture. The four sides are composed of a beautiful molding representing a frieze composed of finely decorated and chiseled drapes, and small flowers in the intervals. The four corners are each decorated with a raised border composed of a shell, two acanthus leaves and small flowers. Our mirror is topped with an openwork pediment and composed of a central cartouche surrounded by acanthus leaves and flowering stems. Beautifully made at the end of the Napoleon III period, this pretty mirror has kept a beautiful patina of old gold color. The glass is original, it is in very good condition, it has just three or four centimeters of slight oxidation that is barely visible. Note some small lacks of stucco, particularly on the end of the shell at the bottom left (see photo) and tiny cracks, all perfectly normal given its age. Parquet flooring at the back.
