Manufacture De Sèvres - Pair Of Large White And Gold Porcelain Vases On Marble Base

Pair of large ornamental vases, white porcelain with very fine gold decoration in matt and shiny. They stay on a black marble base. France Empire style Restoration period circa 1830-40. Attributed to the Sèvres Manufacture, under Louis Philippe.

The black marble bases are original, as is the threaded rod. The nut being blocked on both vases, we were not able to dismantle the vases to check the presence of the Sèvres signature we expected to find. Some factual details make this attribution very likely: the round and not square base, that is usual on the vases of this manufacture, the nautilus-shaped handles found with variations Sèvres tableware pieces, and finally the high quality of the gilding, with very fine areas of white and gold in particular on the nautilus handles.

The vases are in excellent condition, without any accidents, the gilding is fresh and without wear.
