Superb set of two weights for weighing gold powder representing two rectangular and convex shields. They are probably war or dance shields. Their ornamental motifs are linked to the frame of real shields. Handles carved on the back (see photos). This was the subject of a study and inventory established on October 6, 1981 by Mrs. Eid, documentalist at the Museum of African and Oceanic Arts at the Porte Dorée, at the request of Mr. C.
