Important Limoges porcelain vase entirely hand-painted. Beautiful decoration representing Diana leaving the bath after François Boucher. This scene is contained in a reserve delimited by a large line made with gold paste. The other side of our vase is decorated with a charming decoration of vine branches also made with gold paste, the neck as well as the base, are decorated with a circular gold line. Our porcelain bears under its base the inscription "Repos de Diane sortir du bain d'après François Boucher" "decor main". It also bears the mark of the decorator "Porcelain art RB Limoges France" François Boucher (1703-1770), famous painter of the court of King Louis XV and favorite of the Marquise de Pompadour. He is considered to be one of the best painters of the 18th century and representative of the "Rococo" style. The original painting Diana leaving the bath is kept at the Louvre Museum.
