"Small Putti Clock, Movement Signed Lépine "
Small Restoration period clock in gilded bronze representing a putti sitting on a bed of grass, the whole resting on a rectangular base. He supports the watch with his left hand which is surmounted by a bird with outstretched wings. A domed glass forming the door of the box opens and allows access to the hands to set the time. White enamel dial with diamonds and mechanism which are signed Lepine, clockmaker of the King in Paris. Movement with an earlier cock, in working order. Cracks and enamel chips. Wear to the gilding.
