"Silver Plated Ice Bucket - Silverware By Artist Jean Després - Modernist Style - Art Deco"
Ice bucket signed Jean Després, modernist style, 1950s-1970s

Superb ice cube bucket with a truncated cone shape in hammered silver metal, made in the tradition of artistic brassware. This work is signed by the famous jeweler-goldsmith Jean Després (1889-1980), with a handwritten signature incised on the underside and the master goldsmith's mark affixed to a link of the chain. The curb chain decoration, typical of the artist's modernist aesthetic, delicately adorns the surface, testifying to his unique and avant-garde style.

Features :

Dimensions:
                     Diameter: 10 cm

Height of the bucket alone: 12 cm

About : Jean Després is recognized as one of the most innovative creators of the 1920s and 1930s in the fields of jewelry and goldsmithing. Inspired by the mechanical forms discovered during his service in military aviation during the First World War, he incorporated these influences into his iconic works, such as his famous "engine jewelry". An artist exhibiting in official Salons since 1928, he has established himself as a master of renewal in table and religious goldsmithing, thanks to his modern aesthetic, his clean lines and his harmonious volumes.

An exceptional piece that will delight collectors and lovers of modern art, perfect to complete a collection or bring a timeless touch to a refined decoration.
