Light walnut burl case trimmed with brass and burgundy velvet on the inside, it contains an extremely rare pair of system pistols produced by Casimir Lefaucheux around 1845, percussion operation, chambers with oscillating breech blocks which allow the loading of the powder charge without a dosette and the positioning of the bullet which is housed at the entrance of the two-rifled barrels. Damascus barrels with sides equipped with rear sight and sight, signatures chiseled on the top "Lefaucheux Inveur à Paris", retrograde and oscillating breech blocks for loading, with inertia block and percussion chimney. Longesses, frames, opening keys, plates and fittings, trigger guards with finger rests and caps engraved with foliage scrolls. Plates signed by the dealer "Ousset à Chartres".
