Jongkind (inscribed) - 19th Painting - Canal In Holland

Lovely moonlit landscape of a sailboat and a boat on a canal in Holland, with mills in the background.

Very beautiful effect of the diffusion of the moonlight through the clouds and its reflection on the water, this is certainly a work of high quality !

The painting has just been cleaned and is not signed, the frame has a JONGKIND cartel.
Johan Barthold JONGKIND often depicted similar scenes from 1840 to 1890, especially in the 1860s
The artwork can be compared to the number 531 of the catalogue raisonne of JONGKIND by Victorine Hefting, titled "on the Meuse", dated 1870 (see last photo)

24 x 30 cms (sold without frame, we will offer to the buyer this 19th century frame measuring 47 x 40 cms in this condition, restored and with some missing parts, which nevertheless allows a satisfactory presentation - see photo)

Very good general condition, some frame rubbing marks on the edges of the canvas, the painting, which had a thick old varnish, has just been completely cleaned and has regained its beautiful original colors
