"Amethyst And Gold Necklace"
Necklace made of large oblong amethysts cut into facets and 14 carat gold beads. The S clasp is modern, in 18 carat gold. This necklace, apart from the clasp, is composed of antique elements entirely hand-crafted. It is a perfect representative of the jewelry worn by the ladies of the Cherifian harems. The gold beads, very recognizable by their double entry and exit piping of the wire, were shaped in Morocco. The stones, of an exceptional size, were imported from India via caravan traffic in the 18th century.
