"Large Size Italian Early 1800 Nine-light Silvered Sconce Bunch Of Grapes Engraving"
Large nine-light sconce from Northern Italy, dating back to the early 1800s in silvered poplar wood, in the shape of a large two-handled vase connect to the base with a continuous scrolling and foliate motiv. On the perimeter of this monumental panel there are nine iron arms with a turned plate and iron bobeches. Silver-leaf finish is in two-tones, dark and oxidized in the central part and mecca in the perimeter parts. In the central part a decorative engraving of a vine branch with a bunch of grapes. In good age related condition, with minimal losses of the silvering.
