A late 19th century Napoleon III gilt bronze mounted mahogany bureau à cylindre, a French Bureau de Dame, a writing desk with cartonnier which opens up by sliding the central drawer. Inside, a writing tablette with dark leather and three little drawers.The upper structure with three small drawers, standing on curved legs, this exclusive bureau is richly decorated with gilt bronze mounted elements with foliate scrolling and vegetal patterns.
It comes from a private villa in Milan and it is in overall good condition, with minor losses, wear consistent with age and use.
