Egg dish from the Hildesheim treasure treasure discovered in 1868 at the foot of the Galgenberg which dominates Hildesheim, composed of 70 pieces of Roman silverware from the first century after Jesus Christ. From 1874 the Christofle house produced a galvanoplastic reproduction in silver-plated copper. Bears the inscription Trésor d'Hildesheim Galvanic facsimile Christofle et cie on the reverse
