"Neo-gothic Reliquary Monstrance – 19th Century "
Large gilded bronze monstrance flanked by two side chapels with pinnacles each receiving the representation of a bishop in majesty. Topped with a cross, it accommodates in its center a quadrilobed niche surrounded by the Holy Crown in which is a reliquary theca with its wax seal. The Holy relic exhibited here is inviolate but the phylactery designating it is illegible.
At the foot of this monstrance which is also suitable for a monstrance, are six angels alternating prayer for some and carrying the shroud of the resurrection for others.
Dimensions of 71 cm high by 25 wide with a foot of 17 cm. Good condition and beautiful patina.
