"Seal Of Arms Heraldry Ecclesiastical Coat Of Arms Tower Auvergne Cardinal"
This seal is old. It is a coat of arms surmounted by a royal crown, on the top a two-armed archiepiscopal cross. The crown is surmounted by a headdress forming part of the exterior ornaments, representing a wide-brimmed hat, generally reserved for clergymen. The seal is accompanied by a cord, the number of knots of which (tufts, also called tassels, or fiocchi) reflects the rank of the clergyman. Ecclesiastical heraldry. Patriarchs, archbishops and bishops can no longer use the insignia of family noble titles or secular dignities, but they could formerly use the exterior ornaments corresponding to the noble titles possibly attached to their seat or their abbey. This use was abolished in 1951 under the pontificate of Pius XII. For the condition, note two losses on the wood. Please detail the photos. The photos are an integral part of the description.
