This very decorative bronze from the 20th century has a brown patina and represents Minamoto no Yotitomo (1147-1199) who received the title of Shogun (General) from the Emperor in 1192 and set up his "bakufu" (headquarters) in Kamakura. He inaugurated a new form of government that would last for more than six centuries. This warrior wears a "Kariginu" garment inspired by a hunting outfit and a "sashinoki" loose pants tightened at the ankles. This bronze in perfect condition, rests on a black wooden base
