Beautiful porcelain statuette of Guanyin, Blanc de Chine, Dehua, Kangxi period, 17th century.
The deity is represented seated in dhyanasana on a lotus-shaped base. The face is serene, the eyes lowered and the hair gathered in a bun topped with a tiara and covered with a cloth. She is dressed in a dress falling in folds around the body and open on the chest.
A small detail that adds greatly to the object's character; the inner face features multiple fingerprints that have shaped this statuette.
